Ottawa Bach Choir: Christmas in Venice

The first concert of the season features festive repertoire for Christmas inspired by Italian composers working in Venice during the early Baroque period. Featuring Monteverdi's Christmas Vespers from the Selva morale e spirituale collection of 1640-41, polychoral works by Giovanni Gabrieli, and works by Bassano and Croce, the music from this concert will celebrate the glory and splendour of the Christmas season.

This spectacular presentation includes the Ensemble Caprice baroque orchestra, with strings, sackbuts and continuo, as well as soloists. Set in the magnificent acoustic of St. Matthew's Church in Ottawa, this concert is sure to inspire.

Location:  St Matthew’s Church, 130 Glebe Avenue
